Walk 12- Y-Gamriw

Meet at Llanwrthwl at 10am

8 Miles

The walk starts by following a short section of the Wye Valley Walk, then sheep pastures and woodland crossing over a ford and up onto N.T. land, the route then climbs up to Y-Gamriw (2000ft). The path then follows a row of cairns back down hill to the village, with magnificent views to both north and south.

Walk 13 - - Llewelyn's Cave and Twm Tobacco's Grave

Meet at Erwood Craft Centre at 10am

8-10 Miles

The walk starts by following the banks of the river Wye for a short distance and then a climb up to Aberedw Rocks and over to Llewelyn's cave. The route follows good paths over open hill to Twm Tobacco's grave then returning back to the craft centre for a cup of tea and a cake.

Walk 14 - Town Green Walk

Meet at Llandrindod Lake
at 2pm

2.5 Miles

This is a gentle stroll in and around the outskirts of Llandrindod Wells, including the Rock Spa, with a guide who will describe all the places of interest.

Walk 15 - Woodland Walk

Meet at Llandrindod Lake
at 10am

6 Miles

This walk is mainly through farmland and woods without any significant climbing. The middle of the walk follows the River Ithon before climbing gently to the Celtic settlement at Bongam Bank (1000ft) it then keeps to the high ground across to the Trig Point (1200ft) with it's splendid views, before dropping down to the start.

Please note that the bus times indicated are correct at the time of writing.
Pre-registration is desirable, the Festival Information Centre at the Lakeside
will be open from 08.30 on each day of the festival.
Walkers participate in the Festival at their own risk.
